Charlie's Contributions
Charlie Oliver has been a dedicated supporter of the Park and Recreation program from it’s inception. His sponsorship of township events like the Halloween Hoopla and Easter Egg Stravaganza has brought joy to countless children. Additionally, Charlie is one of the founding farmers working with the Gleaners Community Food Bank, providing fresh vegetables to those in need since 1977.
Charlie’s commitment to the community is unwavering. His efforts have ensured that every child participating in township events receives a memorable experience, whether it’s a free pumpkin during Halloween or a full-size Hershey candy bar during Easter. His work with the Gleaners Community Food Bank highlights his dedication to helping the less fortunate.
✓ Infrastructure Improvements
Continuing the Sidewalk Gap Program, expanding Garfield Road, and widening 23 Mile Road.

Development of new Pitchford Park, approval of new grants, and updating playgrounds.
✓ Public Safety and Services
Installation of new electronic scoreboards, acquisition of new firefighter equipment, and dedication of the New Public Safety Building in September 2021.

Charlie Oliver has dedicated over four decades to serving Macomb Township. 55 years in Macomb Township as a resident & farmer and as a Trustee for 21 years. Charlie has played a pivotal role in numerous community projects and initiatives. His tenure includes 8 years on the Board of Review, 15 years in Planning, and over 55 years as a resident. Charlie is also the proud owner of Oliver Sod Farms with his brother, contributing to the local economy and community well-being.
